I have been absent from flickr favourites for a while. Very sadly my gorgeous father lost his battle with liver cancer on the 21st of Feb 2011. I am not sure if i will ever get over it but i know he will be always looking over me and will always be in my heart.
I am amazingly blessed to have a loving partner, 3 sisters and a mother who are my best friends and we have all been together to support each other during this horrible time.
Time to remember the joys, the love and be a person who would make my daddy proud.

It is theme week at Flickr Favourites. The theme this time was “what your dream home would look like”
I found this one a bit of a challenge, as i change my mind alot. I grew up in a country area so at times it is that or it is by the beach. At the moment i live very close to the centre of Sydney and love it.
My Mosaic pretty much shows my dream for a lovely big converted warehouse. all nice and crisp with lots of open space, wood, white and splashes of colour. A big mix of modern lines with vintage and rustic element. Living in Australia does call for any dream home to have a pool as well. My sisters would see these images and think it is very me. modern with a retro edge. haha
Sigh… now i just have to win the lottery so i can build it and invite everyone over for a pool party

My Creative Space
Ok so this isn’t actually my sewing machine.. but it is what i want to do to it. My creative space this week is quite frustrating, i have something i am working on and really want to do but my machine is completely screwing up, i have no idea why..
i am torn between wanting to smash it or cry… time for a cup of tea and bed i think

I am Melting…..Mellllltiiiing…
It is way too hot here at the moment. I know it probably sounds so odd to all of you in the northern hemisphere, but i don’t overly like summer.
The last few days we have had 36 Celsius (i think that is about 96.8f) and humid. i hate it being so hot and sticky. Most houses in Sydney are not built for the heat as well. we don’t seem to do insulation well for some reason.
So i am sure you all think i am completely mad but i am totally envious and lusting after all the cold and snow at the moment.
